Country-SM 2009
Ben Carbine have qualified for the finals in Country-SM 2009. BC will compete against two other bands in the same category, Paula Wright and the Bleeding Cowboys from Kristianstad and Ring of Fire from Stockholm. The competition will take place in Sälen in the end of September.

Balzac II - the return of the kings
The BC concert at Balzac last night was a total blast! The security in front of the stage was terrific and no one got injured. We had a great time and the crowd seemed to enjoy the show aswell. We have uploaded some new pics from the soundcheck which you can find under photos. Our Dakota is fantastic
Ben Carbine and the 18 wheelers have found the perfect replacement for pianist Clay Cohones. Freddie Dakota have been rehearsing with the other BC members for the last week and everything felt perfect righ from the very first moment. Dakota will make his first official live appearence when Ben Carbine plays at Balzac on the 27 December.

Ben Carbine will perform live at Balzac on Saturday, December 27. Tickets can be bought at Balzac. Ben Carbine buffé costs 240:- or else you can pay 80:- for entrance fee only. Balzac opens 20:00 and Ben Carbine starts around 20:30.

Citizen Clay can´t stay
Clay Cohones joined the band in January 2006, and now, almost three years later he feels it is time to get off the 18 wheeler. Clay will from now on focus 100% on his kids, his other band Citizen Kane and his newly found love from Haparanda. Clay will now join Lance, Rusty,Newhill and the other legends in our Hall of fame.

So long Steelburgh!
Ben Carbine & the 18 Wheelers loses a man and is now down to only 8. Steel guitar player Peter Ivansson, formerly known as Rusty Steelburgh, has decided to leave the band. Rusty joined the band in january 2008 and played in total 9 gigs with the band. The career highlight was the gig at Scandinavian Country Music Festival. To enter the stage in Furuvik was something like a dream come true for Rusty. Ben Carbine & the 18 wheelers wishes him the best of luck in his future regarding life, love and country music. Rusty has of course now also been officially chosen for the Ben Carbine Hall of Fame!

Ben Carbine to Ydre
Ben Carbine & the 18 Wheelers are set to perform Friday and Saturday, July 3-4 , at Ydre Country Festival 2009. Jill Johnson, Cheatin´Hearts, Inger Nordström, Baskery and Linda Gail Lewis are some of the artists that performed at the festival in 2008. Ydre Country Festival started back in 2004 and during the years artists like Wanda Jackson, Danny Leigh, Rednex, Don Redmon Band, Western Satellites have performed on their stage.

BC September update
New gigs have been added to our truck stop schedule. Steve Dustriver and his Skellefteå FF have qualified for division 1. A few new songs have been written and some new covers have also been added.

Boat club gig
Buck, Edielou, Steve and Dex played last night at the boat club in Kåge for a crowded house. Everybody had a real good time and when we played "Every little thing" almost everybody grabbed a partner on the dance floor.

Keep that diesel truckin´
Ben Carbine & the 18 wheelers are back home again after the long trip down to Furuvik and the Scandinavian Country Music Festival. We met a lot of friends there and made lots of new friends and we enjoyed great country music from the other bands and artists every single night. We have added some new photos to our photo gallery and there will be more pictures coming up in the near future, so make sure to visit us soon again.

Unplugged in Byske
Four BC members will perform totally acoustic tonight in Byske. The rest of the band stays at home to "load up" for the upcoming trip down to Furuvik.

Crocodile rock

Good time in Gumboda

Studio update

Back into the studio
Ben Carbine & the 18 wheelers are planning to go back into the studio to record three new songs in the beginning of May. It´s the same studio and same producer as the last time. The songs have not been decided yet, but it looks like at least two out of three songs will be our own.

Tour schedule 2008The tour planning for the summer is Ben Carbines current interest. There are many possible upcoming gigs for this summer, but there are still some lose ends to be tied to close the deals. We hope to seal some contracts for some gigs before the end of this month. As soon as anything of interest is ready we will post it here, so be sure to come back and visit us again soon.

Steel guitar visitBen Carbine & the 18 wheelers was back in the studio today rehearsing for the first time this year. Steel guitarist Peter Ivansson from the Tribe made a guest appearance and added some sweet country sound with his instrument. Hopefully we´ll get the chanse to play with him again.

Crowded Christmas concertAbout 250 fans were gathered for the Ben Carbine concert at Balzac last night. The gig was definitly the highlight of the year and maybe the biggest moment in the BC history. All the members of Ben Carbine would like to thank their fans for a great night and also wish you all a happy new year.

Live at BalzacChristmas is upon us and we are rehearsing and making some final adjustments for the gig at Balzac on December 26. All dinner tickets are sold out, but there are still concert tickets available for 60 kr. Tickets can be bought at Balzac. The bar opens at 8 PM and the concert starts around 9 PM.

Aurum re-visitedLast night Ben Carbine played at Hotel Aurum in Skellefteå for the second time this fall. The 18 wheelers machinery was missing both Clay Cohones and Billy TT Justice and therefor had their favourite stand-in drummer Steven G-Line back in the line up. Stevens last BC performance was in Drängsmark December 9 2006. Steven made a terrific job behind the drums and we can´t thank him enough.

Concert reviewThere was a lot of dancing in the crowd at Folkets Hus in Boliden last night. Ben Carbine played about 35 songs during the 3*45 minutes long concert. For the nights encore the band played Tim McGraws "I like it I love it", Sammy Kershaws "Tennessee girl" and finally "East bound and down" by Jerry Reed.
